Canouan Out Of The Blue At Bonisla

This is Isla, or to use her official name, Canouan Out Of The Blue At Bonisla! Isla was born on 14/5/06 and came from the Canouan kennel. I had long been a fan of Canouan, not only for breeding English Springers that can take part equally in the show ring as the working field, but also for their love of black and whites. A love I share!

So after a lot of planning, Isla came to live with me at 8 weeks of age and she hasn't failed to disappoint. On her first night at a ringcraft match night, at the tender age of 16 weeks, she gained 3rd out of 15! Following that she qualified for Crufts 2008 and gained 3rd in Junior at SKC Champ Show! To top this Isla won 1st in Junior at Sedgefield Agricultural Show and then won BOB all at 14 months of age! Other notable placings have included 2nd at North Riding Gundog Show, 2nd at Stanhope Agricultural Show, Res at York Canine Open Show , VHC at South Durham Open Show and VHC at Midland English Springer Spaniel Champ Show.

Isla is a very laidback dog, happy to take life as it happens. She has an exceptional temperament and welcomes everyone into her life without a second thought! Especially if you have food to hand!!!

Isla also has a fantastic working instinct and after a few mistakes from her handler now retrieves well to hand. She is also an accomplished hunter and able to flush a variety of game.

Due to Isla's eye test results, we have decided on the advise of our vet not to breed Isla. She will remain a much loved and very spoilt girl!
