About Us

At present we consist of Isla, Oscar and their owner (or slave?) Emma. Our aim is to eventually produce a kennel of black and white dual purpose English Springers.

The name Bonisla comes from my very first black and white English Springer I had as a child called Bonnie, merged with the name Isla being, well, Isla!

At Bonisla health and temperament are a priority and for this reason any litters bred will be from fully health tested parents with sound temperaments.

Although I enjoy showing Isla, and the show world in general, I'm a firm believer in a dog being allowed to be a dog. The majority of our free time is spent walking the English countryside and getting as dirty as possible!

Working instinct is high on the list of requirements for any pups bred, as I believe the English Springer should be a workman like dog, able to go all day in the shooting field if needs be. As a consequence all litters will be bred with this ethos in mind.
